Coldwell Banker Antler’s Realty is accepting registrations and sponsorships for the annual “Shooting for the Future” sporting clay shoot on Saturday, May 7.
Proceeds benefit the Cody High School class of 2016 after-graduation party planned for May 22 at the Rec Center.
The clay shoot venue is the Cody Shooting Complex three miles north of Cody on WYO 120N. Turn left on County Road 7WC and go about one mile.
Sponsorships for individuals or businesses are available for 24 stations at $100 per station. Clay pigeon shooting on the 100-bird course starts at 10 a.m. rain or shine. Competition ends at noon with a lunch and presentation of high and low individual and team awards.
Participants may sign up as an individual for $70 or as a five-person team for $350. Younger marksmen will be paired with an adult. Participants should take their own ammunition; targets are furnished.
Call (307) 587-5533 by April 29 to claim a sponsorship or to submit an entry form.
This is the fourth year Coldwell Banker owner Rick Brasher is organizing the clay shoot. Last year 118 shooters participated. With sponsorships, $8,500 was raised for the all-night lock-down that provides an alcohol-free environment where the graduates can celebrate throughout the night with games, food and prizes.
The goal this year is to raise $9,000.
“Coldwell Banker Antlers Realty feel the future for our community and our Wyoming way of life is rooted in our young people,” said Brasher, whose children are the fourth generation in his family to attend CHS. “We would like to help the seniors have a safe and memorable graduation.
“It is our way of saying thank you to the community and wishing our future generations the best of luck.”
Registration forms are at Coldwell Banker, 802 Canyon Ave. For more details, call Brasher at (307) 587-5533 or send an email to email@example.com.
