Sidney Roy ‘Scooter’ Rentz

Sidney Roy ‘Scooter’ Rentz

Sidney Roy “Scooter” Rentz, 71, of Cody died June 10, 2019, at Spirit Mountain Hospice.

Roy was born in Sinton, Texas, on May 28, 1948, to Milton Roy and Barbra Jean Pickett Rentz.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and his loving wife Elaine of 47 years, who passed just four weeks prior to him on May 7, 2019.

After high school Roy enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He then moved to Cody and met the love of his life Elaine and they were married June 18, 1971.

When Roy was not on the road driving truck he enjoyed shining up his truck and motorcycles and time spent with his friends and family. He was one of those guys that could always make you laugh with his silliness.

Roy is survived by three daughters: Rochelle (Jose) Rodriguez of Cypress, Calif.; Wendy (Tim) Dall of Riverside, Calif., and Kristy Rentz of Cody; and six grandchildren Tyler (Adrian) Dall of Riverton, Utah, Kaleb, Kamden and Kylie of Cody, and Chad and Brittany of California.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to everyone for your words of strength, hugs and many other ways of showing support during this difficult time. We would also like to thank Spirit Mountain Hospice for the amazing support and care of our father.

Cremation has taken place and we will be hosting a celebration of our parents’ lives at their home on July 2, 2019, at 4 p.m. and would love to have you join us.
