With the help of their mother Amanda Johnston, Alexa, 5, and her brother Sam, 8, create their own Buffalo Bill movie posters during the 168th birthday celebration for William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody on Friday at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Along with the movie posters, families enjoyed cake, and author Sandy Sagala talked about her book, “Buffalo Bill on the Silver Screen,” before a silent film from 1912, “The Life of Buffalo Bill” was shown along with a performance by the Buffalo Bill Band.
