The Shoshone Forest has lifted two closures on two separate areas of the forest.

The temporary area closure on the eastern side of Atlantic Lake within the Popo Agie Wilderness has been lifted as has the closure of Lost Lake Trail (Trail No. 617).

The closure in the vicinity of Atlantic Lake has been lifted because the horse carcass is no longer in the area. The early winter storm that moved through over the Beartooth Mountains has provided enough moisture for the Shoshone to lift the closure on Lost Lake Trail, which was in place due to the Lost Lake Fire.

Both closures were in place for public safety.
