Sylvan Pass closed

Due to high winds and heavy snow, the following Yellowstone Park roads were temporarily closed as of 8:10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2:

-Sylvan Pass from the East Entrance to Fishing Bridge.

-Fishing Bridge to Grant Village.

-South Entrance headed south.

-Hayden Valley from Fishing Bridge to Canyon.

Other roads are experiencing high winds, heavy snow and drifting, and further closures could occur at any time.

Extreme caution is advised.
