Cody golfers were consistent in their second tournament in Worland last weekend.
The boys varsity team finished second at the Worland Invitational behind Gillette. The Camels shot 633, the Broncs 652 and Lander was third with 680.
“The boys have been the low 3A team in their first two tournaments, which is encouraging,” coach Chad Smith said.
The girls finished fourth for the second week in a row with 687. Gillette won with 532, Lander took second (574) and Thermopolis third (590).
For the Broncs, Ryan Aune, Dylan Templin and Eric Maslak all finished in the top 10.
Ryan Aune earned his first top-five finish shooting a 157, five shots out of the lead.
Templin shot two rounds of 80 to tie for seventh at 160.
Maslak finished tied for 10th at 162.
“He was disappointed with the 83 on Friday,” Smith said. “He thought a round of 72 would win the tournament, and he was right as the winning 36-hole score was 152.”
Thayne Balling finished tied for 18th (173) and Sam Murray 21st (175).
Danielle Skinner earned her second straight top 10 for the Fillies by shooting 191 and palcing seventh.
“I'm confident she will be in the top 10 each week this fall,” Smith said. “Like so many other kids on the team, Danielle has spent the summer working hard to improve her game.”
Bridget Schumacher took 21st with a 260 and Klarissa Parduba tied for 22nd with 269.
Shelby Barrett shot a 101-102 during the tournament, but received no score for the first day and was 25th.
The boys JV team won the meet by 47 shots. Cody shot 736, Lander 783 and Sheridan 788.
Luke Murray finished second with a 168, brother Jake was fourth with a 172, Jason Wolf fifth with 181, Spence Boone 25th (228) and Brannon Aune tied for 33rd.
