Flood warning continues

This document was published online on Wednesday, June 25, 2008

A flood warning issued by the National Weather Service earlier in the week for low-lying areas near Buffalo Bill State Park on the North Fork remained in place Wednesday.

Jim Fahey of Riverton said mild flooding, particularly at several low-lying campsites along the North Fork of the Shoshone River at the park, is possible for a few more days.

He said temperatures in the Cody area are fluctuating, but should be somewhat cooler through week's end and ease melting snow.

The flood caution will be in place as the river rises early each morning, then recedes slightly through the day, Fahey said.
